Food really does matter, says DEFA
A nice meal out could be worth more than you think.
That's the message being underlined by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture - it wants to expand the Island's food and drink sector by £50 million over the coming months.
DEFA's Food Matters and Destination Management strategies have both recently highlighted the industry's economic significance.
In addition, the annual Department-sponsored Chef and Student Chef of the Year competition finalists have been revealed, with winners to be chosen in September.
They are: David Hall from Macfarlane's, Douglas and Zaneta Krol from Haworths, Douglas; and Students Henry Tung and John McMullen.
