Claim described as lfrivolous and without merit'
An ongoing legal dispute involving Isle of Man-based PokerStars has been described as 'frivolous and without merit' by its parent company.
Amaya has been commenting about a civil proceeding in the US state of Kentucky.
The state claims it is entitled to recover alleged losses accrued by Kentucky residents who played real-money poker on the PokerStars site between October 12, 2006, and April 15, 2011.
That was around three years before Amaya acquired the online poker brand.
Similar proceedings against PokerStars, in Illinois, were dismissed earlier this year.
Kentucky is seeking an award as high as $290 million.
