Thousands of roles could go from chain
A hotel chain with a facility in Douglas is not releasing details of locations for job losses at this stage.
Premier Inn's owner Whitbread has announced it could cut up to 6,000 roles across its business.
The decision has been blamed on the falling demand for hotel rooms as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The company told Manx Radio that no information on which hotels will be impacted is available at this time.
The 85-room Douglas Premier Inn opened on Market Street last summer.
