A treasury executive at Fairbairn Private Bank will be taking part in the 07/08 Clipper Race.
Paul Clohesy will raise funds for two charities, Breast Cancer Awareness and the Macmillan Cancer Fund in the UK.
At over 35,000 miles, the 07/08 Clipper Race will be the world’s longest yacht race and starts on September 16 at the UK host port in Liverpool.
Paul has been granted a sabbatical from Fairbairn Private Bank to join his crew members in September.
The race stops at 17 ports, with 10 boats racing.
Crew members can choose to take part in one or more of the seven individual legs or complete the whole circumnavigation.
Paul will go all the way and that should take 10 months to complete.
