The Steam Packet has announced a sharp rise in the number of motorcycles travelling to the Island for this year's Southern 100 races.
The company - the event's main sponsor - says it carried 37 per cent more bikes than last year.
That upward trend follows an increase of more than 4 per cent in bikes travelling to this year's TT, the highest number for a decade with the exception of the TT centenary year.
Therer'll be a wider international TV audience for the Southern 100 next month, when the races are screened on British Europsort 2 over two evenings on the 4th and 5th August.
Winners in each race will be assisted with their travel by the Steam Packet next year.
Ryan Kneen won the Packet-sponsored 125/400 cc race.
