Company works with rehabilitation charity
The Steam Packet is supporting a charity which is bringing seven injured veterans to experience the Southern 100.
It is the second year in a row the Packet has helped Letsdo with transport as part of the rehabilitation charity’s work bringing injured servicemen and women together.
Formed by Rob Maxwell and Steve Timblin, who both underwent amputations following injuries sustained while serving in the British Army, Letsdo aims to assist veterans with life-changing injuries come to terms with them.
The Steam Packet is bringing the service veterans and their bikes over, with four travelling from Heysham and three from Belfast.
Steam packet CEO Mark Woodward says they are honoured to be playing their part and hope attending the road racing event helps the veterans with their rehabilitation.
