
Sure says its 4G service will be in place at the end of February, as its engineers gradually bring the mobile network online around the Island.
Although there’s no 'big switch-on' date, the company says it’ll turn on towns and villages around the Island over the coming weeks.
But there is a hitch – as when Manx Telecom turned on its 4G last year, Sure has to wait for Apple, Samsung and LG to update their software before users will be able to access the high-speed data service.
Marketing manager Sarah Jarvis told Jason Roberts the project had suffered some delays but long-term improvement is on the way:
