Filming is under way today on the latest would-be blockbuster movie to be shot in the Isle of Man.
Bill Nighy will star in Wild Target, which will be filmed both here and in London over the next six weeks.
Nighy plays a renowned hitman who is reluctantly saddled with two sidekicks, played by Emily Blunt (pictured) of the Devil Wears Prada and Harry Potter’s pal Ron Weasley (alias Rupert Grint).
It’s based on a French comedy, Cible Emouvante, and the cast also includes Martin Freeman of The Office, and Rab C Nesbitt actor Gregor Fisher.
Director Jonathan Lynn’s CV reads like a history of English comedy, with titles such as Yes, Minister, Yes, Prime Minister, Clue, My Cousin Vinny, Nuns On The Run and The Whole Nine Yards.
