Will travel booking changes apply to Isle of Man?

The Isle of Man's passenger watchdog says it will be monitoring developments to see if recommendations from the United Kingdom on credit and debit card charges are enforced in the Isle of Man.

An Office of Fair Trading report is calling for an end to debit card charges on travel bookings.

It also wants credit card fees to reflect only the extra cost incurred by the travel firms.

In the past fees have been added on a per-person, rather than per-transaction basis.

TravelWatch committee member Dick Clague says the findings apply to all tickets sold in the UK, and he is confident they will also apply on the Island:
