Adapting Island horticulture 'important for meeting local needs'

UCM says more have joined sector as part of improving mental wellbeing

Adapting horticulture and agriculture on Island remains important to meeting local needs.

That's according to University College Isle of Man as some of their students in those sectors took part in a tree-planting session at Billown Quarry.

Construction firm Colas and Manx Wildlife Trust were also part of the initiative.

UCM principal Jesamine Kelly believes the likes of horticulture has been a welcome change for people's mental wellbeing in recent times:
