ANPR cameras catch 62 drivers without valid road tax

Minister warns motorists face court action if fee remains unpaid

Those who haven't paid their road tax, since being caught by automatic number-plate recognition cameras, face being taken to court.

That's the warning from the infrastructure minister, who revealed 62 drivers have been spotted without a valid vehicle licence since the technology was brought in on the Island earlier this year.

Fifty-four have since come forward to pay the amount owed.

Ray Harmer was speaking in the House of Keys today, in response to a question from his colleague from middle, Bill Shimmins.
