Payments to be made available to those supporting Ukrainian guests
Around 50 Ukrainian refugees are now being supported by Island households via the Ukraine Support Team.
That's according to the Cabinet Office Minister who says this is on top of the 20 Ukrainian guests who've been given leave to join their families here.
Kate Lord-Brennan brought forward a motion in Tynwald today to make financial assistance available to those helping people fleeing the conflict in the eastern European nation.
That motion was approved by the court this morning:
