Be careful with BBQs and cigarettes on dry land urges fire service

Firefighters called out to several fires in the last week

Think of the consequences of your actions if you're having a barbecue or discarding cigarettes on dry land.

That's the message from the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service after firefighters were called to a number of gorse fires in the last week.

With little rainfall over the last fortnight fire crews are warning rural areas are 'tinder dry' ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
