Council leader weighs in amid outcry
The leader of Douglas Council says he was 'surprised' Bushy's didn't win the TT beer tent contract.
David Christian says councillors had an 'outstanding relationship' with owner Martin Brunnschweiler, who had operated in the Bottleneck car park for two decades.
The Hooded Ram brewery will now run the site during TT fortnight until 2022.
Since the Council's decision, Bushy's has looked at a number of new sites - which could result in two beer tents in close proximity.
