Campaign to get more outdoors

'Year of Our Island' continues

With the arrival of spring and - thoretically - better weather, the ‘2018 Year of Our Island’ team has launched two new activities.

They're designed to help residents and visitors make the most of the longer, warmer days to explore more of the Isle of Man.

A new ‘2018 Explore More Trail’ has been created from 12 routes that will take people to some of the Island's beaches, glens and forests.

The trails range between one and four miles each, and there is a specially-designed booklet to accompany them which contains maps for all 12 routes, along with facts and activities for children.

Meanwhile, IOM Rocks – the increasingly popular social media craze of painting and hiding rocks around the Isle of Man - has also partnered with ‘2018 Year of Our Island’.

‘Our Island Rocks!’ is a treasure hunt which will take residents and visitors around the Island’s glens, forests and footpaths, giving them the chance to win a ‘2018 Year of Our Island’-themed prize.

There is also a series of guided walks taking place over the next fortnight, starting today.

More information about all of this can be found via ourisland.im.
