Changes to Covid-19 lockdown measures at a glance

First step in 'phased exit' from circuit breaker

Changes to Covid-19 lockdown measures have now come into effect, as of midnight.

It means members of the construction industry can return to work, as well as a number of tradespeople.

Today marks the start of a 'phased exit' from the current circuit break lockdown.

It's structured around three levels, from zero: full lockdown as it has been, with phase one now in force.

This means outdoor activities can now take place, with mitigations in place.

People can meet with family and friends once again, as long as it is socially distanced, and face coverings are strongly advised.

Phase two is a total lifting of restrictions altogether, bar the border policy, which the chief minister hopes to reach on 1 February, if the Island sees no evidence of community spread of coronavirus from now until then.

Yesterday (22 January) was the fourth day in a row with no new cases of Covid-19 on the Isle of Man, and the tenth day without evidence of the virus spreading in the community.
