It's hoped it'll spotlight shopping opportunities
There'll be plenty of pre-Christmas cheer in Peel today when the town's festive lights are switched-on (26 Nov).
Local commissioners are hoping large crowds will gather for the event in Atholl Place at 4.30pm.
Festivities begin with a lantern parade from 4pm, with choir singing, brass band music and a visit from Father Christmas also planned.
Organisers hope the lights will draw residents from Peel and around the Island, to do some of their Christmas shopping in the town.
