Climate change drop-in sessions hosted by DEFA

Public opportunity for consultation advice this week

Support is being offered to those wishing to participate in the government's climate change cosultation.

The environment department is holding two drop-in sessions this week, the first of is which is today (16 Apr) at its Headquarters at Thie Sileau Whallian in St Johns.

The public are invited to come in between now and 6pm this evening.

In addition on Thursday (18 Apr), sessions will from run throughout the from 8am to 6pm at the Sea Terminal in Douglas.

The consultation, which launched last month, is 69-questions long and covers areas such as climate change education and interim targets for emissions monitoring.

 

 

The drop-ins are also an opportunity for businesses to sign up as refill stations for the recently launched Biosphere initiative, which is aiming to reduce the number of single-use plastic bottles on the Island.
