Environment minister did not expect issue to define tenure

"Climate change is surpassing Brexit in its importance."

Those were the words of environment minister Geoffrey Boot on this week's episode of Perspective on Sunday (12 May), when asked if he expected the issue to define his administration:

'The climate emergency' also welcomed Manx Utilities Chairman Dr Alex Allinson, plus representatives of the Climate Change Coalition (Joney Faragher of the Manx Labour Party and Andrew Newton of the Isle of Man Green Party), and members of the Student Climate Network to discuss environmental policy and solutions.
