People on the Isle of Man are being warned autumns could become wetter due to a ‘shift’ on rainfall patterns.

A hosepipe ban will come into force on Friday – the first since 2020 – due to an ‘extremely dry period’ and an increase in water usage over recent weeks.

Ronaldsway Met Office says indications from climate change studies suggest an altering seasonal picture.
