Committee to review impact of horse tram delay on businesses

Deadline for submissions lunchtime today

Those who live and work near Douglas promenade have until lunchtime to submit their views on part of the plans for the prom.

It's regarding the delay to the installation of the section of the horse tram tracks between the War Memorial and the Sea Terminal.

The Tynwald committee looking into the ongoing roadworks in the area is calling for evidence.

It's now expected the refurbishment scheme will finish by Easter next year, with the horse tramway to be completed the following winter.

The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee wants to hear what impact this could have on businesses based on the promenade.

You have until midday today to make written submissions. These can be emailed to committees@tynwald.org.im, or sent to Legislative Buildings.
