Competition hots up for bonnag championships

Annual contest next weekend

Amateur and professional bakers are honing their techniques again, ahead of the hottest culinary event of the year.

The World Bonnag Championships 2017 take place this Friday, 3 March at the School Rooms at St James Church, Dalby.

There are classes for gentlemen, ladies, children up to 14, gluten free and commercial entries.

The coveted IoM Creameries Trophy will be awarded to the overall winner and title of World Bonnag Champion 2017.

Entries should be submitted on a paper plate with your name and category on the base of plate on the night.

 

The evening, hosted by Dot Tilbury, costs £7.50 including supper, and proceeds go to Tabitha's Trust and The Pahar Trust Nepal, as well as the Dalby Church Restoration Fund.
