Cordon around unexploded ordnance in Ramsey in place until tomorrow

Officers awaiting arrival of disposal team

A police cordon around an unexploded ordnance found on the beach side of Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey yesterday will remain in place until at least tomorrow.

Officers in the north of the Island are awaiting the arrival of the disposal team.

Meanwhile, the promenade is still closed from the swimming pool car park exit to North Shore Road.

People are reminded to avoid the area until the item is safely disposed of.
