A Douglas Councillor fears that more than 120 houses may have to be demolished if a scheme to cure dampness proves to be too expensive.
The council's housing committee chairman Carol Malarkey says there are severe damp problems in a large number of houses in Willaston.
A report to the council this week will suggest a pilot repair scheme to six homes, at a cost of over £425,000.

Meanwhile, Phil Halliwell of the Department of Social Care says if the pilot scheme doesn't appear to be feasible, there could be cause for demolition.
