Industrial estate blaze contained
Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire which engulfed two cars and damaged a building at an industrial estate in Douglas.
The blaze broke out at around 9.40am today between two outbuildings at the Hills Meadow site on Peel Road.
Plumes of thick black smoke poured from the estate as two crews from the nearby fire headquarters arrived.
Officers say it appears a rubbish fire in a steel bin, which hadn't been properly extinguished, reignited and quickly spread.
Nearby buildings were evacuated but no one was hurt.
