Support crew take decision
Danny Roberts has been forced to stop his This is My Everest challenge for his own well-being.
The Manx professional boxer had completed ten climbs up Snaefell from Laxey and back when his support crew deemed he couldn’t carry on.
Danny was attempting to complete the task fourteen times which is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest.
He set a target to raise £5,000 on a justgiving.com page with a total of nearly £7,000 already pledged.
The money is for two charities - Huntington’s Disease Isle of Man and REACH IOM.
Danny’s supporters say tackling the challenge in yesterday’s severe gales, snow, hail and cold conditions took a great deal out of him.
