Indemnity paperwork now being considered by Attorney General's chambers
The start date for the Isle of Man's coronavirus vaccination programme will be confirmed this afternoon.
Health Minister David Ashford told the House of Keys the final decision will be made at a department meeting later today, after the Pfizer vaccine arrived on the Island earlier this week.
Care home workers and health staff who meet the criteria for the first phase of the programme were sent letters yesterday, inviting them to have the jab.
The indemnity paperwork from the UK was received late yesterday, and is now being checked by the Attorney General's chamber to ensure it meets the Island's needs.
While other jurisdictions have started vaccinations already, Mr Ashford insists the Isle of Man was right to wait:
