Prescription overhaul is unworkable, says group
A charity says government's plans to increase the cost of prescriptions is 'unworkable'.
The Manx Diabetic Group says a proposed hike - which would also see sufferers of chronic illnesses made to pay for regular medication for the first time - will leave some Islanders worse off than their UK counterparts.
Health officials say the new charges would still be significantly fairer than the standard prescription fees scheme in England.
But MDG chairwoman Joanne Clague says, for diabetes patients, that isn't the case:
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
New male red panda coming to the Curraghs Wildlife Park
