DoI Minister declares intention to stand in general election

Tim Baker hopes to retain Ayre and Michael seat

Infrastructure Minister and MHK for Ayre and Michael Tim Baker has announced his intention to stand in September's General Election.

He's the first member of the Council of Ministers to officially declare, as well as the first candidate for Ayre and Michael.

He was elected to the House of Keys in 2016, and later appointed minister of the Department of Infrastructure in June 2020.

Mr Baker has also been chair of Isle of Man Meats since 2018, and chair of Manx Utilities since last year.

He says he believes he still has a lot to offer, and his experience will help with the challenges the Island faces in the next administration.
