Records show the first Bottlenose dolphin to be born off the Island's coast
A bottlenose dolphin calf has been seen for the first time in Manx waters.
Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch saw the youngster in Gansey Bay in mid-September (16 Sept), minutes after it was born.
Since then, the calf has been spotted 26 times around the coastline, along with its pod.
Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch Outreach and Education Manager Jen Adams says seeing dolphins off our Island is good news:
It was last seen off Port Mooar on the North East coast on 3 December 2019.
