Mark Wheeler was elected to the board in April
A Douglas councillor has resigned from his position with immediate effect.
Mark Wheeler represented the Central Ward on the local authority following an uncontested election in April this year.
Douglas Council has thanked him for his service to residents and 'wishes him well' for the future.
It's also confirmed the by-election process to find a new representative for the ward will be announced in 'due course'.
The other councillors representing Central Ward residents are Natalie Byron-Teare and Arwid Hall.
