Douglas man denies indecent assault

Pleads not guilty to three charges

A Douglas man has appeared in court charged with three counts of indecent assault.

Twenty-five-year-old Luke Anthony Ridgeway pleaded not guilty to all three charges at Douglas courthouse yesterday.

The offences involve a 16-year-old girl and allegedly took place at an address on Murray's Road in the capital in February this year.

The court heard Mr Ridgeway invited the girl to the address, before stripping down to his boxers and making repeated sexual advances towards her.

It's alleged he then removed his boxers and tried to force her hands on to his genitals - pulling her hair and kissing her neck.

He denies the charges - saying she made the claims up after he rejected her advances at a prior meeting.

DNA samples have been taken from the pair to assist the investigation.

Mr Ridgeway's bail continues as before and he'll appear next at a court of general gaol delivery on November 22.
