Driver bailed after multiple offences

Snape to appear in court again in April

A man who denies crashing into two parked cars after driving dangerously through Douglas has been bailed to appear in court again in April.

Tyler Jack Snape is accused of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, having no insurance, driving whilst disqualified and failing to stop after a crash.

The 19-year-old appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.

James Robinson, prosecuting, said Mr Snape drove a silver Peugeot through the capital on January 14.

He's alleged to have gone the wrong way down a one-way street, driven through a red traffic light and ignored stop signs before crashing his car.

The crash damaged two other vehicles which were parked on Westmoreland Road.

Mrs Hughes granted him bail in the sum of £500 – he isn’t allowed to drive and is subject to a curfew from 9pm to 6am.

He’ll appear in court again on April 2.
