Vehicle taken off road
A driver has had his vehicle seized, after it was caught running on 'red diesel'.
It was discovered during a police roadside check in St John's earlier this morning.
The dyed fuel, which carries a much lower rate of tax than ordinary diesel, is intended for use on private land and farms.
It is illegal to use in ordinary road vehicles.
Those who fall foul of the law can be ordered to pay hefty fines.
