IEG insists it's doing its best to navigate 'short-term crisis'
Energy price rises affecting the Isle of Man, UK and further afield are 'devastating', according to Islands Energy Group.
It's warned if there's another gas tariff increase on Island it's likely it would be even more than the 27.5 per cent hike announced in October.
It follows the announcement this week that energy costs for the average household in England, Scotland and Wales will go up by £693 in April.
Chief executive Jo Cox insists her company is doing what it can to navigate, what she calls, this 'short-term crisis':
'No guarantee there'll be any support' amid ongoing fuel crisis
1.5% electricity price increase comes into force
Tourist tax would be 'wrong move at the wrong time', says Douglas hotelier
