Peel to Ramsey event for charity
The 11th annual Fire Fighters Memorial Walk takes place today (Sunday).
It’s a 50 kilometre open road race, following the Parish walk route from Peel to Ramsey, passing Kirk Michael, Ballaugh, Jurby, Andreas, through Sulby and finishing at Ramsey Fire Station.
189 walkers are taking part in today's event, which started at 8.30am.
Drivers are being asked to be aware of the walkers in the north of the Island, particularly between Peel and Kirk Michael.
Organised by the Island’s fire and rescue service, all proceeds will be donated to The Firefighters Charity, which helps serving and retired fire service staff and their families.
