Twenty-nine applications processed
The first Ukrainian refugees have arrived on the Isle of Man.
Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan confirmed in this morning's sitting of the House of Keys that the first arrivals are now here after applications opened last month.
A total of 18 people affected by the conflict have been granted leave to come to the Island, through the family-related immigration pathway, while a further 21 applications through the named-individual pathway are 'in the pipeline'.
Arrivals from Ukraine will be granted 'leave to remain' here for up to three years - access to education, healthcare, benefits - as well as the right to work.
