Flybe confirms jobs to go in Isle of Man

Flybe has confirmed fewer than five jobs will go in the Isle of Man, after it earlier announced 300 would be lost across its whole workforce.

Flybe Head of Communications Niall Duffy has told Manx Radio the decision has been taken after due consultation process.

The airline currently employs 70 people in the Isle of Man.

There will be no changes to any of the routes operated from here.

The redundancies are aimed at returning the firm to profitability by 2014 by reducing its costs by £35 million.
