Follows plea from oncology nurse on social media
A nurse, who spent five years living in the former nurses’ home in Douglas, says more 'foresight' is needed to keep health staff on Island.
It follows a plea from an oncology nurse on social media who revealed that unless he could find somewhere to rent which would accept his dog he’d be forced to return to the UK.
In response 'Angela', who wants to keep her identity private, contacted Manx Radio to share her thoughts on how government could do more to assist.
She says the old facility on Westmoreland Road, which is in the process of being redeveloped, was ideal in helping attract new staff.
