Manx Gas engineers are in the process of repairing a gas pipe in Onchan.
An emergency road closure has been put in place whilst the section, below Blackberry Lane off Summerhill Road, is fixed.
Access is possible via Governors Road.
The company has apologised for the inconvenience and says it will 'make every effort' to complete the work and reopen the road as soon as possible.
