Chief Minister Allan Bell says he’s pleased the government has cut its sickness bill by 10 per cent in the last year.
New figures show on average, each government employee was ill for 6.94 days last year – compared to 7.64 days the year before.
Mr Bell says the government is keen to make sure staff sickness remains low.
And he says the reduction is down to a better management strategy within the workforce:
