Company was purchased by gov't in 2018
The government should be using its role as shareholder of the Steam Packet Company to assess ferry fares.

Government bought the Company in 2018 in a move aimed at providing long-term stability to the ownership of the Island's lifeline ferry operations.
But North Douglas member David Ashford doesn't think enough is being done to look at the cost of fares:
