Government workers 'must be held to account for failings'

MHK who chaired whistleblowing committee wants to see action

Changes are needed to ensure government workers can be held to account for their failings.

That's from Onchan MHK Julie Edge, who chaired a committee looking into whistleblowing during the last administration.

Following a tribunal's decision to award the Island's former Medical Director Dr Rosalind Ranson £3.2m in compensation after she was fired for whistleblowing, there have been calls for those responsible to face consequences.
