'Wear face coverings in crowded spaces', says public health
A new committee has been formed within government to monitor the Island's ongoing Covid-19 situation.
The National Covid Response Group is a sub-committee of the Council of Ministers and will meet 'regularly' with key advisers.
Government says the latest public health data indicates the majority of current Coronavirus cases is in younger age groups.
However, officials say the potential risk of onward transmission to more vulnerable groups 'remains a concern'.
Director of Public Health, Dr Henrietta Ewart, says we will see an increase in cases as well as other respiratory illnesses going into the winter months.
Dr Ewart is also urging residents to wear a face covering and keep your distance in crowded places.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Alf Cannan, will consider whether to hold a Covid-19 briefing next week.
