Have a say on local nuisances

Discarded shopping trolleys are a common small-town problem, dealt with by the local authority

Consultation invites residents to share gripes

Abandoned shopping trolleys, annoying front of house ball games, and setting off fireworks without consideration.

Just some of the issues Onchan District Commissioners is looking for public comment on, as part of a new consultation.

The Onchan General Byelaws govern the conduct of residents on matters such as removing signs, causing excessive noise, and hanging out washing to dry.

They are regularly reviewed to reduce the level of nuisance in the community.

Comments can be submitted to any one of the local commissioners, or be made in writing to the Hawthorn Villa, Main Road, Onchan by 5 May.
