Minister responds to ME care criticism

Not enough funding for everything - Quayle

The health and social care minister has seemingly conceded not enough is being done to help ME sufferers in the Isle of Man.

Howard Quayle has responded to comments from eminent British physician Dr Charles Shepherd, who was on the Island at the end of last week.

Dr Shepherd, the medical advisor to the British ME Association, said misdiagnosis or late diagnosis and a lack of effective on-Island support was hindering sufferers and made it an unncecessarily expensive problem.
