100-year-old Normandy veteran up for People's Choice Award

That's the message from the Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson, who wants to see the Island war veteran voted the winner of a People's Choice Award.
The 100-year-old Onchan resident has been shortlisted for the 'Soldiering On' Armed Forces Community Award, which is UK-wide.
It'll be decided by a public vote, where you can register your support here.
Juan Watterson is keen to see the recognition for the Manx man, and told Manx Radio just some of the reasons he thinks he deserves to be crowned the winner:
