Vet says animals responded to treatment
The horse trams will be back in service from Wednesday, albeit in limited form.
The decision has been taken by Isle of Man Railways, with the advice of vet Ray Cox.
Tram services were temporarily suspended on 9 May after a number of the horses were found to be suffering from a respiratory infection.
They have been treated with antibiotics and welfare checks carried out to assess their progress.
Mr Cox says the infection was confirmed as streptococcus zooepidemicus, which he says is relatively common among horses.
They have reacted well to the course of treatment and he's happy with their recovery.
To ease the horses back into service, a limited schedule will be run (10am-4pm) for about one week, as they continue their return to full health.
