Heritage competition launched for students
The Isle of Man Victorian Society is encouraging young people to question why things are the way they are with a new competition.
In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria, students have the opportunity to win prizes by creating work based around 'How the Isle of Man changed during Queen Victoria's lifetime - 1819-1901.'
From sweets and confectionary to schools or clothing, those in years 5 and 6 are invited to make a class display on the subject, and secondary school students an essay, with prizes of up to £150 on offer for winners.
