Treasury Minister responds to MHK's concerns about the economy
The Island is 'absolutely not' in a recession.
That's from the Treasury Minister who's been responding to claims from MHK Claire Christian who believed the Island was 'practically' in a recession.
Inflation stood at 9.2 percent last month - the highest it's been since government began publishing inflation reports electronically in 2008.
The month before saw inflation sit at 8.1 percent, but government warned this was likely only a temporary 'lull' in the economy rather than a continual decline.
